How to Distribute the Music You Make In Your Studio

Lot's of people have figured out how they can produce high quality music in limited spaces such as dorm rooms and college apartments, but distributing and selling the music is still the hard part. Although some pretty good methods have emerged, nothing really seems to be standing out as the best sure fire way. While it may need to be said that every music group or artists may have to find some personal way that works best for them, there are a few principles to follow.

The first is that you have to advertise to the niche that your music fits into. There are just too many people out there making music to try and target everyone as a potential listener. But once you have found the niche to target, how do you go about doing this?

One way is to get on some type of music review blog. You can either start your own or find one that is already established. These kinds of sites can list some music that is new or in a certain style and give a quick review. If you can make a music video for your song on YouTube, you can then send the link to a review site to publish something. This can be a great way to find listeners who are already fans of the type of music you make, which means they are more likely to enjoy your work.
